Question 6 speed Gear Ratio

I'm not a jeep owner yet, but will be in the near future and want to thank you all for the forum and the wealth of knowledge on here.

One question that I have is regarding the gear ratio. I'm looking to order a 12 JKUR more then likely with the 6 speed. I do plan on upgrading the tires, more then likely to 33's, but possibly 35's, so my question is should i go wth the 4.10's, or option out to the 3.73's? I've seen similar questions asked but it seemed to be geared towards the automatic. I usually belive that you should get the best you can afford and am leaning to the 4.10's but figured I'd ask you all first to see if i was missing something. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I would say the 4:10. You'll be slightly slower off the line then the 3.73's but you'll be faster in 6 gear and the 4.10's are better off road.

Can you get a Rubi 6 speed with a 3.73? I thought they were 4.10 only.

If you are thinking about 35's, get 4.10's.

I have a 2012 stick shift with 3.73's, and the gearing is really too low for the stock tires, but I think 33's will be spot on. I don't think 35's would be a big deal either, but I'd go ahead and get the 4.10's.

You're going to want to upgrade the tires ASAP when you feel how low the gears are with the stock tires.

Thanks for the feedback...as I mentioned earlier, I am leaning towards the 4.10's and was looking to be "talked out of them".

Only reason not to spend money on 4.10s is if you know you will be re-gearing to something other than 4.10s shortly after getting your Jeep.
