87,000 2010 Model Jeep RECALLED
Has anyone actually found anything stuck there?
I have a 2010 and I bought it in June. Believe this makes me part of the recall. So they advertise about how jeeps are armoured underneath unlike other riches. I remember the commercial. Now they want to remove that armour and replace it with a bar. Feeling violated. What next... They fix my water leak by removing my top.

I know because my 2010 rubicon had the bar and a friends has the skid with wider crossmember.
So yours was built after July 14th... as stated in the OP. I'm glad we are back to that. Thanks.
So I got a custom made center cross member, custom made front skid that runs from the center cross member to the front cross member, and just added an aux tranny cooler.
Wonder how this is going to play out...

We have to play this correctly to get this resolved to our satisfaction.
Call Jeep and voice your concerns as well as the NTHSA. Be sure to mention that a punctured transmission pan will leak hot fluid onto the ground that is much more of a fire risk than the few Jeeps that have caught fire so far. There has got to be a better fix from them. Remember we also paid for this skid plate! They owe us for this!

Contacted Jeep on that very question. They stated that your warranty would still be honored but that we would have to tell any dealer we take it to, to NOT perform that recall. Also if there is a fire, they will not be responsible in any way, as we have been notified.
