I just made my own out of 550 paracord but I've heard that Welcome Distributing makes awesome handles called Grabars. But yea, I took responsibility and made my own haha.

I have the grabars in front..very nice and solid. For Velcro type, I have EK motorsport handles in the rear...highly recommend. They have many color options other than the normal red and black if that's a concern. The other brand that I can comment on is the Trek Armor..very high quality. Bought a set of these for a friend (wedding gift) He loves them.

I have the rugged ridge inserts, absolutely no issue with overheating - it's no worse than the airflow blockage from a winch.

The only thing I would mention is that after 2 years I sanded down the metal and repainted them. The original paint was peeling and chipping, but I would rather touch up my inserts over replacing a leaky rad from highway debris.

X2 on the drake. I had made the gutter grill guards and was happy with them, but before long the glue holding the square anchors hardened and hang loose. Up here (Canada) the extreme range of weather makes it difficult to keep the home made ones looking good (repainting, re-gluing, replacing damaged ones- bird).
I caved and bought the drake grill in matte black and am very happy with them, once attached they're solid. I do recommend some thread locker to keep the bolts from loosening.
