About average, not a great price at all though. That's dealership pricing right there, so they should come down another $2-3g if private. I personally wouldn't pay that much for a 3-4 year old vehicle when brand new ones are only a bit more in the end. Or buy a Sport for $15-20gs and do the mods yourself (gears, tires, lift) and build it how you want it. Depends on how you plan on buying a vehicle though as not everybody can get that big of a loan or have that extra cash laying around.

Brand new sports are $20gs though, JKUs around $25-27gs and Rubi's a hell of a lot more. I see some guys getting new Rubis fully loaded etc for $35gs, which doesn't happen all the time but can be had. It's year end so wait and you could probably get a great deal on 2013 or 2012s which are still sitting on the lots.

Its a good asking price but if you don't need the rubicon you can just buy a new JK sport for that much so why not go for new.

2012 or better. Get the Pentastar.

There are no deals because JKs hold value.

27k sounds like a good deal, try pricing a new one loaded for under 37.

Don't fear the 3.8, paired with the 6speed it is a fine motor. The difference is marginal in real world application, bigger difference when comparing automatics.

There is a huge difference in motors when you start modding your rig with bigger tires, etc.!

Difference of opinion. My properly geared 3.8 on 35s keeps up with my buddies 3.6 on 35s and we get virtually identical mpg. Sure I had to pay to regear, but I hold onto my vehicles longer than 3 years. I will say the upgraded automatic in the 2012 is great, but I prefer to row.

I'm not saying there is no difference, but it's not enough to warrant skipping a good deal on a 3.8.

So what re-gearing are we talking about? I am planning on following that route in my 3.8.
Thanks!
