advice selling my 2015 Rubicon Hard Rock unlimited
Hi. Your thoughts on: 1. best place to post ad (Craigslist vs the Forum)?, 2. If mine is setup with camper top, storage shelf, & other accessories good for backcountry travel, am I at sales disadvantage compared to the stock Jeeps that haven't been on dirt? Thanks, James
Post it everywhere you can. You can ask more for your extras but don't expect to get more than KBB prices for it. Sage brush pinstrips and dented under side will not help with sales.
In my experience here in NJ, Facebook marketplace has become the go to place for buying and selling just about anything (except things that go bang). Basically has replaced Craigslist. Good luck.
You are going to have to figure out who is looking at it. new comers might not understand the additions and the value, and possibly overused. I don't mean to say what you already know. Clean and polish and put a sign in the window. You never know who is walking or driving by! After I went through a bunch of online listings for mine, I washed it in my driveway, put it at the end of my yard, and sold it in 2 hours. Sometimes.... things happen for a reason. You never know where or how. Good luck. Top of Hunter Mountain, Hunter NY, NORA
One thing to seriously consider is simply selling that hard top/RTT separately, and/or trading it for a normal hard top + money. There are people looking for that out there, much more than new buyers trying to find a fully outfitted jeep ready to roll.
