I'm wanting to install a sbc and 3 or 4 speed auto. In my jk. What trans. And transfer case is the easiest to work with. This is my daily driver and sometimes lite off-road drives. All stock 3.8 2008 wrangler x

You can install anything and do a hot rod conversion and install aftermarket gauges etc. Nothing engine or tranny wise will run through the ECU as Dirtman just mentioned.

To start with you need a tach pulse to the ECU to enable the fuel pump. You are better off getting an LS and 6 speed auto for both power and economy. But if you want to go carb route then SBC is ok. You can get a conversion kit for 241J TCase to Chev Auto such as 400R4 etc.

Good luck and post photos if you start the project.
