After wheeling, carpet is wet

I pulled my front carpet out last year to dry it. Water will set in the padding for a long time.

I never put it back in. I use a tub style mat laying on the metal floor, works fine.

I pulled mine out and put it into the drier on low. That white pad takes a long time to dry. It fits nicely into the drier.
There's a trick to pulling the carpet out. Cut the stitches on the seem-part that goes around the left-front seat post, or take that bolt out. I did the bolt the first time (because my kid had spilled milk and it soured) and the stitch the second time (same kid with soda instead).

x2 for bed lining the interior. I'm actually looking into doing this myself. The carpet is crap.
