With all things being equal, should you order or buy off of the lot?
I am totally against paying sticker for any vehicle, Unlimited Jeep Wranglers included. I have had no luck finding the deal that I am looking for on any lots close to where I live. The question I have for those of you that have ordered your jeeps is this. Were you able to get a price that was less than sticker or are the dealers in your area trying to hold the price even for an ordered JK? I don't mind waiting for a little while for a JK but I simply am not paying sticker. Any info from the group would be extremely helpful.
As additional info, I am looking for either a Silver Unlimited Rubicon or a Black Unlimited Sahara. Hard top is a must but all other options are somewhat flexible.
Thanks in advance.

In answer to your question, it was on the lot, I got what I wanted at the price I wanted, the trade- in price I wanted, the color I wanted, and I got to drive it off the lot without waiting. I have to admit, I was lucky and I did alot of shopping before hand.
I got everything she said I needed, in the one I found on the lot, that she told me I wanted.
The price was right (did not pay sticker) and i dumped my trade off on them at the same time. I guess it all depends on how weird the options are that you want, your persistence, and the attitude of the dealer.

Off topic but, make sure the Jeep is what you really want. Take your time and go over the body, interior , drive it on the freeway and see if you can handle the windnoise hardtop and softtop. The metal is tinny, poor paint, cheap plastic, etc. It looks cool though.
I should have taken more time and research BEFORE I bought mine.
I expected a better made, more solid made vehicle. I swear, you look at wrong and something will break or fall off, or scratch.
Just my opinion.

All things being equal, I would have bought off the lot. Even after we ordered, I still searched dealer inventories every week... never found one with everything, so we waited. Our dealer would not budge on the sticker price, but he did make it up with the trade, so we still hit the number we wanted.
