Default Am I Crazy?

I'm sure I'm like many of you going back and forth in my head all the time about if I should keep my jeep (08) or get a new one or supercharge or have a commuter car or get a truck, just re-gear... the list goes on. I basically want a jeep that will do everything, who doesn't; get good mileage, tow my boat, commute well (60+ miles each day), haul everyone out to the beach on the weekends, haul my camping gear and my dogs.
A couple of thoughts:

- I'm always going to have a jeep, so I'm never going to have just a car, or just a truck. Jeep comes first.
- I hate having multiple vehicles (currently have a jeep and focus for commuting, and maybe buying a classic car from my parents so I don't see it sold to someone else)
- I want more power for towing my boat, and so I'm not constantly downshifting on the highway
- I'd love to have a truck bed for hauling crap from home depot and hauling the family out to the beach
- I don't rock crawl, so the diesel would be for mileage and towing power. Factor in the fact that mileage essentially doesn't matter if you're dropping $20K on a conversion, it will never pay for itself, so it's really just for more power towing, and hopefully more power on the highway up and down hills.
- I haven't even re-geared yet, which I was planning on doing, but then got on this forum again, and got me thinking about all these options...

So would it be ridiculous for me to spend the money to get my 4 door modified to something like the brute double cab, and get the 4BT conversion? Then I think I would be happy with ~30mpg with the diesel, being able to tow easier, being able to haul more crap, and only have one vehicle.
If it cost $30K, it would almost be as reasonable if you compare it to buying a truck and a car that get all the same jobs done.
If I did get a 4BT, should I keep my shitty 3.21 gearing since it would have ridiculous torque?
Could I even do this? Would Delaware Emissions allow such a thing?
