Default Any official word yet on a diesel JK?

I'm new here, so a little history, I've owned one of every generation Wranglers including 2 JK's but for various reasons(mostly lack of power) haven't had one in 2 years. So I've been itching for another, going back and forth on new or old. I liked having a work car and an older Jeep with the top always off that I could jump in any time I want. The last JK I had, I got lazy and rarely took the top off.

Now with the new engine, my interest is rekindled in the JK. But I'm having a hard time justifying the gas mileage, then I remembered the Diesel engine in the Grand Cherokee. That might really get me on board.

#1 So, any official word on us getting the Diesel.
#2 How are folks liking the diesel in the Grand Cherokee, and does it have the torque we hope it does?

Actually the latest is , see how the Cherokee diesel does with demands and that is looking like the "judgement" base.
