I just finished reading a thread regarding the updates coming down the pipeline for our forum. I noticed that it asked for suggestions on what could be done to improve the forum. In my opinion, this forum is the best on the internet for JK owners, however, I do have one suggestion that I think would benefit most members.

I find it very difficult to connect with people from my area when buying or selling items. When searching, I wish there was a way to prioritize products by having the user select from a preset bank of distances from their location, or something to that effect.

Also, prior to posting in the for sale section, it would be great if we could select from a preprogrammed menu to specify our location and whether or not we would be willing to ship the particular item we are posting. Being that most items in the for sale section are labeled local pick-up only, this would make it incredibly easy to decipher which products are realistically attainable, and save hours of time.

I'm interesting in hearing what other regular forum members are thinking in regards to what can be done to make our experience even better than it is now!

 

I like that idea. The mobile app (at least for android) also needs some work. Pictures seem to load upside down most of the time and it locks uo when uplaoding which requires you to clear the cache just to get it to work once. I really like using the mobile app bit just still seems buggy after being available for quite a while.

 

Its powered by "forum runner" and leaves much to be desired. Pretty consistent across forums that use it.

Just glad I can mention brands, websites, and organizations without fearing a ban...

 

I would also like to see a section based on local trails on your area how they rate etc

Adding a suffix drop down box to include location is easy to do with Vbulletin. Should be an easy fix.

 

The ideas about the for sale section are on the top of my list. I like hearing from everyone but it would be cool to chat with people in your general area. Guys in SC are lumped in with guys in NY. That's way too much real estate in one group.

 

Agreed. I also like the being able to mention companies without the fear of a ban. Seems like a big part of almost any discussion.

 

I agree on for sale section by region at least. I Cantrell you how many wheels and tires I would love to buy except they are always 1,000+ miles from me!

 

i think each staging area should be able to have their own billboard section. its frustrating looking for parts for sale when most that interest me are local sales only or the shipping defeats the purpose of buying used.
