If I end up fabricating a disk that the Rugged Ridge one can screw into, it should work fine, but I would have preferred to know that up front (that it needed the factory piece) and if you don't know what #4 screws are, take a look at what's holding your glasses together...they're not much bigger than that. If you're ok with modding a new part (which I am, in most cases) go for it, but if not, you may end up with a $65 locking paper weight like me (at least until I get my mill back up and running).
The lock on mine is so corroded that I can’t lock it anymore and the paint is coming off. The thing has only been on for six months.

I also got one of the MBRP spare tire bracket things. The thing made the spare look goofy and it made alot of noise even on pavement. I threw it in the trash.

Default My Appologies to Rugged Ridge....I was WRONG!

That would be incredible. Thanks.
I do have to say though...My Apologies to Rugged Ridge. It was my new HOOD LOCK that is Rugged Ridge. That part I'm happy with. My Gas Door is a Rampage. It's the P.O.S. (install wise at least). After I posted that, I went to go take some pics of the screws to give some reality to what I was saying and I realized my error. Again, sorry for that one. I just traded my beloved TJ in on a 4 door JK since 35's, 4" of lift, and 2 doors is hell when you have 2 kids still in car seats that aren't old enough to buckle themselves yet. Ol' TJ didn't have A/C either so we had to take the jump. Anyhow, I've got so many new parts piling up, waiting to be installed that I managed to confuse the 2 manufacturers. Hopefully I'll have tons of things to post, just not much on this particular thread...knock on wood.

I hope that's a fluke....I have one sitting idle while my 37x12.50 Wrangler MT/R's are on back-order. I had one on my TJ holding a 35x12.50 MT/R for years with no issues. I don't think it was a MBRP though so I can't attest to their quality yet, but I never had any trouble with my hinges. I was always careful to not keep my door open long though since I really like the simple look and didn't want to shell out all the coin for a legit tire carrier rear bumper. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this new one (Extension Bracket and JK Door) can deal with the 37. If you don't hear from me on this...no news is good news.

Here's a pic of the Gas Door. Those are the 4 installation screws sitting on top of a DIME for reference. If I had the original piece on the Jeep that I needed, and installed this using their hardware and instructions, a kid could pry it off with a Popsicle stick, and then it wouldn't be there to keep the Popsicle out of my gas tank....Epic Fail to the designer on this one. On a side note, the rest of the unit seems fairly solid but only time will tell....oh, and so will I.

Default Gibson Dual exhaust

First thing I do with my motorcycles is put on an exhaust, so I did the same with the 2010 Rubicon 2 Door. I went with the dual exhaust Gibson. There were no appreciable performance gains and the nosie and pressure were terrible. Like I said I like a great exhaust note, but this was a brutal drone. It also created a weird pressure in the cab. Maybe better on 4 door but awful on two door, it did look good though. Lasted one week, couldnt take it! Also the guys at Gibson were no help, told me I was SOL, perhaps I was but some relief would have been nice. Went back to stock and have kept it there.

I think it is more of a door issue. They do make reinforcments for the mount but I don't know how well those work. You should be able to find a thread on the subject. I went with the OR Fab carrier. It was kind of a pain to install, but I don't have any more rattle back there.

x2 on the Gibson exhaust. There headers are a POS as well. I had to go back to stock the noise will give you a headace. If you buy, keep the stock exhaust, you will want it soon.

I bought the Delta front bumper light bar. It has 3 55W lights in it. I wished I had not bought it right away. The lights are not very bright, and the middle one blew out after a few days. Waste of money for sure.

Hmm. I have the Daystar tailgate bumpstops with the Teraflex spare tire extension bracket and 35s on the stock rims. It's all tight. No rattles.
