Default Anyone on houston/katy area willing to help me with a lift?

I just dont have the space or tools in my garage and my driveway is at a down angle. Plus I just flat out wouldnt trust myself doing it.

It's a rock krawler 2.5 flex kit for a jk with fox monotubes.

I would send it back and get a better kit.

Poor quality, heavy, overhyped, overpriced, warrantee run around. Personally think they ride like crap. Much better stuff out there.
Lots of newbs get their information off of instagram and fakebook then come here with the issues they have. RK and Rough Country look to be the top two companies with issues. Just trying to save you some headaches.
Did you get bump stops? I noticed the 2.5 kit without shocks does not list bump stops. You will want them for when you are doing the lift.

I dont have facebook or instagram and have been looking for 2 years before deciding. I'm pretty happy with my choice. And yes I got front and rear bumpstops.

He's not trolling, he's trying to help you out before you get knee deep in it and you're replacing components left and right. That kit is exclusively for the one time use only vehicle. I've had friends with them that didn't even get a chance to take the kit on the rocks before they started having issues. All street miles and low miles at that. I've had their coils myself and I no longer do, as mentioned- warranty runaround. They said the coils weren't seated correctly, then they said it was due to the alignment of the coil, then they dismissed it entirely and said it was normal. It's not normal so I ditched their coils and crap customer service for another company.

See the warranty part is where I've read overwhelmingly positive reviews. Ride quality and what not was split.

I see, you use Reddit and discord, basically the same thing. Lots of pictures showing cool jeeps on rocks. It's funny with your years of research you never asked about it on the forums. You, like so many come to the forums after the purchase to ask for help.

You can take my advise or not, is your jeep. I have installed just about every lift out there and build custom suspensions, you did not know that or can verify over the internet. After the last RK lift (a $9500 kit $50,000 build) I did fit so poorly and rode so rough, I won't even install RK stuff anymore. I can recall issues they have had back to 2010 with joints and coils.

I hope you did not buy tires without good solid research.

This is a much better kit in terms of quality and IMO has a much better joint for a better ride. https://metalcloak.com/jk-wrangler-t...x-edition.html They were 10% off and free shipping with the sales last week. There are others as well and not sure how people even choose RK products as they are premium priced and offer lack luster performance. Only thing I can think of is the amount of marketing they do on social media tricking the uninformed that they some how have a good product.

Good luck with the install.

But I have asked around? I've only recently been using this and wrangler forum. Odd thing. MC was my first choice and I was told to stay away. I got nitto ridge grapplers.

Either way everyone has their opinions and that's fine.. I was just looking for someone who wanted some side cash is all.

Thanks

They give you a big run around on the phone, when they answer it and someone can actually give you an answer. Typically blame you first then a sub contractor that makes most of their stuff for a poor fit or bad run, they will rarely take blame for an issue. Once you start a thread on the forums to bitch about the poor service they get a notice from the forum and ask you to call them. Thats the way to get their attention. I am sure they will get a notice since you used their name in your first post. They will also send you PM's saying the guys on the forums are haters and don't know anything. I have even been threatened with violence by the owner in a phone call.

I am curious if you have already unpacked the lift and still have the packaging. The last kit I did was so poorly packed with cheap cardboard boxes and covered in shock oil. Did they actually upgrade their shipping quality? They stated they were going to revamp their shipping and never saw anything else about it.
