Unbolt, hop in the back , center myself and lift it on my back. Walk down a 2x12, walk it into the garage and lower it to it's summer resting spot. Go for a topless ride, T O P L E S S, topless.

I'm amazed at how light the JK top is, the construction is so thin.

try lifting a CJ top sometime. hehe.

I am going to build a dolly, it will cost me $20 for 4 castor wheels, and I have all of the other parts. I will just get help taking the hard top off.
Search the net for ideas of how to take off the hard top. I found a few different videos of homemade winches. There are a few winches that you can purchase from variouse retailers.
I am not sure if the hard top will bow over time. Thats why I am not going to hang my hard top.

This spring, I put some hooks in my garage ceiling, grabbed three web-strap winches, and drove out from under it. I had all of the materials, so it didn't cost me a dime.

I've done it that way, but being 48 with a back that occasionally goes out, I may not be able to crawl out from under the top.

I use four ratchet straps hanging from the garage rafters.

I do it the same way....it's not always the easiest thing to do to find those two good balancing points...but when you do, it's really not that bad...just lock your arms in place and be careful when dropping to your knees....
