So i do my oil changes my self but my engine is burn so much oil in 1639 miles it is below the safe part on the stick idk what to do :/

 

Are you using 5w20? I switched to 5w30 ive heard it helps only 300 miles since last oil change so im checking at 500 hopefully I see a difference

 

I use 10w-40

Is the oil in your engine honey colored or a dark brown?
Does it have an odor other than oil....burnt?
Is it frothy? or have a milky texture to it?
Or are you just finding you are low a quart every time you check it?

 

Its really dark i checked it about 800 miles and it was at the S for safe then i put a quart and i checked it today because it wouldn't speed up like it would take alot longer and it was below safe like half a inch so i put a quart and it went up and its barely at 1600 miles since the oil change i didnt smell it though

 

I have to add a quart every thousand miles. Always dark after the first thousand. Switching from 5-20 to 10-30 RP next oil change.

 

Well if i do have a bad engine does it just burn oil or does it have a long term effect
