Default Benchmark Designs finally responded

Mods please move if this is in the wrong section...

As some of us know, it is next to impossible to get a hold of Benchmark Designs. My rear bumper has been on preorder since early January with an expected delivery date of mid Feb. I have written them countless emails and have called several times with no response. People say he might just be too swamped building the bumpers to check his mail. Wrong. I got tired of waiting and finally decided to threaten legal action if my deposit wasn't refunded promptly. I was amazed to get an email back from Benchmark and Paypal stating that I had recieved my refund only four hours after my email had been sent. Why couldn't he have responded to my or anyone elses emails that quickly, if at all? Some people are on here defending him, but the majority of us have been left hanging. He is running a shady business if you ask me. Just my experience, but wanted to share incase anyone else is in my position.

Good to hear that someone has gotten a form of closure with Benchmark. Maybe there is hope for the rest of the people who purchased and received nothing.

So in other words, if they aren't responding to your emails/phone calls then just threaten them with the power of JUSTICE!

Good stuff, glad you got your money back although you don't have your bumper still :(

Dang, Im sorry to hear they are still not returning e-mails or phone calls. Cannot blame you for doing what you had to do. I just find it difficult to understand why they are so bad at communications, when they have such great products. I know I went through my own issues prior to getting my front bumper. Anyone on the forum ever been to their operation? I would love to know what the deal is.

benchmark sucks. i was told 2 weeks for my bumper. it took 4+ months. and then when i got it, it sucked!

sold it on CL and took a nice hit.

his emailing sucks, his communication sucks, he sucks, whole "company" sucks

buyer beware. stay away

Yeah, I'm glad I was able to get it taken care of. I hope others that regret ordering from them are able to get it fixed too. Sucks waiting that long and still not having a rear bumper.

Default This forum saved my butt

Thanks to this forum, I learned what kind of company Benchmark is and decided against ordering the many parts I wanted from them. I would really like to know why they still are a vendor here.
