Here's my silver inserts on black Jeep. I preferred the contrast.

 

Black would be my choice.

Would be nice to protect the radiator/tranny cooler/condenser.

I always wonder how much it resticts airflow though. Since I have temp gauges, might have to try it and see.

I have a black sahara, I ordered the black drake grille inserts, backordered of course. They are supposed to be shipping soon. Didn't want the silver ones, too shiney. But I already have the silver bumper thingys, so that does break up all the black. Its ur jeep, do what u think looks good.
