The bottomless interior slot between the dash and the windshield
Hello All,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this.
So, you go to a campground, pay a fee, and place the receipt on your JK dash. This seems pretty simple, until you discover that there's a bottomless slot between the dash and the windshield that will happily consume any pass, pen, or map you place there.
Anyone know how to access the bottom of this slot (pit). Anyone modify their JK to avoid this canyon? I can't believe that this design is intentional. Perhaps the designers never went into the outdoors where a permit on your dash is required.
Thoughts?
Thank you.
DG

take apart dash you'll find it all
MAYBE try one of those vacuums at a carwash, the nozzle might be strong enough if the papers are close
if it really bothers you fill it with spray foam
Jeep thought that umm slot was a good idea, along with their pos radiator fan

there are a few ways you can fix it i saw this plastic stuff that you use for the underside of doors you can wedge that back there or you can put foam in the gap that use use for the surround on a ac unit.

It only becomes an issue if you do....and it's small.
