Default Boycott Quadratech.com??

I can't tell you how many times I've added stuff to my cart at Quadratech.com -- then, after seeing the shipping charges, STOP dead in my tracks...

I sent them an email - to their credit, it was answer, but totally impersonal -- just a bunch of policies cut and dumped to me...

Has anyone else here been boycotting them??

Amen -- They would get so much more business if they just charged actual shipping fees -- where you really get ripped is by their DOLLAR AMOUNT = X Shipping charge... Order $200 of bricks or $200 of feathers and get charged the same!

Boycotting is pretty powerful and suggesting it on a front-line forum like JK-Forum is probably not going to win you many favors here.

there is no h in quadratec.com.

Also, I believe their shipping charges are quite fair.

You do have other options on places to buy from.
Google what you are looking for, youll find it.

I buy things from quadratec sometimes even if it may be a little cheaper elsewhere for a few reasons.

A. SERVICE
B. THEY SPONSOR THIS SITE!!!!

The only thing I would ask for is if their website would show if an item is in stock or on backorder.

Boycotting isn't that powerful unless other people agree -- just some of us are tired of being ripped off by them and choose not to order until they stop. If you don't mind it, by all means -- order it up!

Yeah, I think using the word boycott is kind of over the top.

In a different thread a few people made some comments and the Quadratec representative indicated that you could call their customer service and have them charge you the actual shipping charges. I don't know whether or not that means you cannot order from online or not.

Completely understand. I also don't agree with some of the prices I see, but suggesting a boycott of a company to a forum that receives thousands of hits a day is a little dangerous..

Not only for the company but for the forum.

I believe its a little harsh to boycott them over shipping charges. I find their shipping charges high, but fair. Many companies have different strategies on pricing, some make up for things with shipping, others pad shipping in but have overall higher prices. There are a lot of business models that can be used.
