Car seats 2 door soft top
Anyone have any advice for carseats in a 2 door? Was hellbent on NOT having kids, and as always, God laughs at our best plans
So now I've got to come up with something good so I can keep driving el Jeepo Spectacular with baby in the back.

Just make sure you get a new car seat which should have the l.a.t.c.h. system on it. You rear seat has latch points on both sides allowing to install car seats on either side quickly and safely. So it's good news, you can keep your jeep.
Not having a baby but a 4 year old, it was tough to get used to it, but I have adapted, plus her learning to buckle herself really helps too. Definatley put her on the passenger side since that seat moves forward all the way. Good luck brother!
Well... I had a two door. When my grandkids came along I dealt with the two door for a couple of years. It was a royal PITA!!! It's tough enough for an adult to get back there, unless the top is off or they're drunk enough to not to notice how long it is actually taking them to get back there. And trying to squirm your way back there and hook up a carseat... forget about it!!!
So I traded her in for a 4 door JK
and the mods started all over again... and sooooooo much easier to put a carseat in

Congrats on the baby.
I have been through pretty much every combination of carseat and it can be a little tricky with a 2 door, especially the infant carriers. the 1st year is a littlle tough but really it isn't that bad. The boys were 2 1/2 years old and 7 months when I bought the Jeep now they are 5 1/2 & 3 1/2.
I found to get the carrier in and out I had had to locate it behind the passenger seat and then I had to tilt the passenger seat forward and tilt the drivers seat backwards then reach in from the drivers door and to get it in and out. There was not enough room to get the carrier between the piller and the front seat.
Once my youngest moved to a fullsize rear facing seat he had to go in and out from the back and I needed to reach over the back of the seat to buckle him in.
Once they are in forward facing seats it is pretty easy, I let them crawl over the center console between the front seats to get into the back or if the top is off they climb up the rear tires and over the sides. I reach between the seats to buckle them up or now most of the time they can get themselves buckled, I found reaching between the seats was easier than trying to squeeze myself between the seat and the pillar. I hear the 4 door versions are a lot easier but who wants that many doors.

As for strollers, get yourself one of these it fits nicely behind the seat.

There is room behind the seat for the Jeep umbrella stroller, a pack-n-play and diaper bag but if you are nead more than that I recommend getting some kind of external rack.
