Default Cheap winch???

I'm looking for a cheap, quality winch. Obviously Warn is the top of everyone's list. But I want to know if there's some hidden off brand that does just as good (if not better!) I don't necessarily have a price range. I just want to know what the general consensus runs and go from there.

For the money and pulling capacity, I went with the Smittybilt X2O 10 with wire rope, 400$. I have a JKU sport. Happy with the function and looks, it also has a lifetime mechanical warranty. I know a lot of guys like the Engo winches too.

Sent from somewhere I really shouldn't be!

I'm also quite happy with my 10,000lb Engo. I got it over the Black Friday weekend and it was on sale for well under $400.

I haven't purchased one yet, but I've been leaning towards Superwinch. I've seen this one listed for $350 at several retailers:
Superwinch, LLC - Tiger Shark 9500 - 9500 lbs/12V

I have an engo 9k with synthetic line. Extremely happy with it. $400 for the synthetic. Could have got steel for $289..
Engo beat warn and a bunch of other top competitors in a winch shoot out in one of the off road magazines a couple years back, that's what pushed me to get one.

I have the new Gen 2 Smittybilt X20 10k, but with synthetic rope. I paid $500 for it at a show, it retails for $550.

Engo. Can get the 10000lbs with synthetic rope for a little over $400. And they are great winches.
