MyGIG on materials restriction again??? I just got off the phone with DC,a nd they said I was in BG with material restriction due to MyGIG. I though it came off restriction and was in production. I am so confused... They said to get in touch with the sales manager that they have the most up to date info...
Geeze...feels like the run-around is starting again....

But, it doesn't matter if there's a MyGig available to put into your Jeep today. Maybe they're sitting on a pallet next to all the other 2008 JK parts, waiting for the plant to open back up next week, when they'll actually start producing 2008 models. You really should wait until the 23rd to be sure the Status Codes being reported are accurate.
is my dealer full of S**T? .... my friend (who owns the dealership) told me that he would put a priority code on my sahara. i called DC ... for some reason i am back to BG status and i asked if i had a priority code on it. they said NO. so i called the dealer (not my friend) and asked him why there wasn't a priority code on the jeep. he said that chrysler doesn't work that way and that when a unit is marked as sold, then it has an automatic "priority code" on it. i asked him if it was marked as sold ... he said yes. also ... he said that they were not building saharas in august ....
#1 - if my JK is marked as sold ... shouldn't DC have told me it had a priority code?
#2 - are they really not building saharas in august?
#3 - why did it flip back to BG status?
Don-a-vee .... someone ... help!

#2 - I strongly doubt this is factual, just like the other rumor that there won't be any Rubicons built in July. I'll believe it when I see it. He was more likely passing on bad information, or maybe deliberately lying to you because he believes you won't see your JK until at least September, so he didn't want you asking again until then.
1# - No. The Sold Vehicle designation "4EA" actually appears on the Build Sheet right along with all the Standard and Optional features of the vehicle being built. Although the Line Workers at the plant can readily see that it's your sold order, the Customer Service rep would have to purposefully check for that Option, just as if they checked to see if the particular order had Dual Tops or a Manual Transmission, otherwise they wouldn't know (and many may not even know how to do this search).
When they pull up your VON, what they see is the Priority Code number, which for Sold Units is "99". Although this Code will get your JK built with a higher priority than your dealer's non-sold orders (for his inventory), it's not a Priority Code that will get your JK built ahead of everyone else's (meaning you haven't cut in line, yet).
These codes are available, and get used most frequently for Aftermarket Parts companies (that's how they get their vehicles long before the rest of us, so that they can design their parts). Your friend does not have the ability to change this code, although he is able to influence the people who do. He probably just hasn't been able to make it happen yet.

hey where have you been i was wondering what you found out about your order and hoping everythings working out for you .
