Check the Status of your Jeep JK Wrangler - Order Status Codes
hey guys, i posted this before. you may have missed it looks like the train ride is next for most of us.
"your next step is transportation. IF it's by rail, check with CS or your dealer and get the ID number for the rail car, then go to this site, enter the number and you should get the when and where answer you are looking for.

the man i spoke with said that my dealer is meeting with their chrysler rep tomorrow to try and rush my order because my current lease ends on feb. 4th.
so would you guys guess that i am at least a month away if not more?

oh well, i guess i gotta push the gc for another month. on the bright side, i'm about 1500 miles over & if i extend the lease a month, they're giving me 3000 miles. so that'll get me out of that little pickle. (i'd still rather get my jk tho!)
aniemeier, i see that your order is for a rubicon which seems to be in much higher demand than the sahara. i don't think i'll have the same wait as you, but who knows........guess we're both at their mercy.

Aniemeier and WaIIbanger,
Aniemeier, the factory started an unlimited rubicon run on 1-3-08 seems to me that by your order date you should be included in the build this month. i'd ask your dealer point blank if he had an allocation for it before or after you ordered. WaIIbanger, don't know much about Sahara's, but they have been coming off the line. BX and BG land is hell in waiting. no telling how long you will stay there. i hope i don't get in trouble for pasting in the following. i got this elsewhere and it explains things pretty well. hope it helps ya'll. welcome to the waiting room, i think theres still some beer in the fridge.
"If you have an order which is in D status or further along in the process then your dealer should have an idea of when your vehicle will arrive.
If your vehicle is in anything before D status (includes BA, BG, and BX) then the following applies to you and is the same for every dealer in the nation. No dealer can get by the following:
WRANGLER
(JKTM74)(w23C & 24C) Wrangler Unlimit ed X 4x2 4 DR Sched. Out Nov.
(JKJL72)(w/23B, 24B & 24 S) Wrangler X 4x4 2 DR Sched. Out Nov.
(JKJM74) Wrangler Unlimit ed X 4x4 4 DR Sched. Out Nov.
(JKJP74)(w/24G) Wrangler Unlimit ed Sahara 4x4 4 DR Sched. Out Nov.
(JKJS72) Wrangler Rubicon 4x4 2 DR Sched. Out Nov.
(JKJS74) Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4x4 4 DR Sched. Out Nov.
“Sched. Out November” means that if you have any of the above ordered then your dealer will not even have a possible allocation of your vehicle until the December allocation is issued. That means that the next possible build date you will have is for December Build. December build should start in the last quarter of November.
Chrysler does not give priority to sold orders other than building them first for a dealer. They do not get put ahead of other dealers orders. Some might think this is not fair, but it is. Each dealer gets a certain amount of allocation based on previous sales. This gives each dealer the appropriate amount of vehicles based on sales history.
If the factory did just build any sold order ahead of other for-stock units, what would stop me from just putting a bunch of names on every order and then getting a ton of Wranglers built why every other dealer just had to wait? That is why each dealer is allocated a certain amount, and that allocation covers sold orders as well.
It is very important to discuss this with the dealer when ordering a vehicle. Asking questions about their allocation in past months, what they expect their allocation to be, and how many other sold orders are in their pipeline are very important.
A little bit more on allocation:
Allocation comes out on each Monday 4 times a month. So if there is 5 weeks then the 5th week is skipped. Allocation is issued by quarter for the following month of build dates. So allocation that I receive this coming Monday (October 23rd) will be for the 4th quarter build dates of November.
We get allocation for both 2 door Wranglers and 4 Door Wranglers. Last week I received an allocation for 2 of the 4-door and 5 of the 2-door. That means that I was able to get 2 of the Unlimited’s scheduled based on the regulations listed above. The mix can very week to week for many reasons.
Allocation priority is given to sold orders for each dealership and will usually get built quicker, but they will not be placed in a priority position above any other dealership."

Well it has been a week since my Jeep went to JS status. Does this mean they dont have the room on trains to get it out of Detroit? The wait sucks but I think it makes our Jeep just that more enjoyable. Custom built for you with your name on it! Some things get better with time i.e., Wine, Women, and Jeeps
they were far behind on rubicons, thats what the jan. build is all about. alot of the guys that were here before me who had been here as long as 6 or 7 months are gone now. the rubicons really started rolling out in the 3rd week of dec. and they are still going strong. i don't think your wait will be as long as ours has been. IF it does, then get on the net at jeep.com and start doing a search for what you ordered, even out of state. a couple of people have done that, found what they wanted, cancelled their orders and got their rubicon sooner. your choice. your dealer can also search for you, but i think they are limited in distance for the search. good luck.
