Thanks axelaR! I was having second thoughts as I've usually had bright colors for my vehicles and the Natural Green looks to be a big change from that. I'm sure I will love it. Any color Wrangler is a great Wrangler. I wonder if the color has anything to do with the speed of the process since NG only being produced for the first 30 days.

Just to close out this saga. I finally received my WU on 14 Jun 11. That was after the dealer obtained a special authority to move and then had a driver pickup the vehicle from the regional distribution center. After they did the SATM and got it out of Toledo, it sat in Jessup, MD for 4 days until I finally said 'deliver it or I'm walking'. While I am pleased with the dealer, I will NEVER order another Chrysler product. If the dealer can't find what I want, I won't buy. I would strongly encourage others to consider this as well. I am pleased with my Jeep.

How long does it normally take to get a VON after placing an order ?

 

The VON is given immediately- if you didn't get a print out from your dealer with a VON get one. I had this happen to me- they gave me a pre order sheet and forgot to print out the actual order sheet with my info and an assigned VON. That being said, as far as I know, the VON doesn't give you much of anything. Once you get a VIN you are good to look up status, etc. (I am awaiting my VIN shortly.....

 

Placed an order for a Deep Cherry 4 Door Rubicon on 8/8. My dealer emailed me and indicated it's at D1.

 

Gee, my Rubi is stuck at "Scheduled for Build (D1), 08/11/2011" for over a week now Either they have a strange way of scheduling or don't update insight very often ...

 

I ordered mine on 8-2 late in the day,,, It is supposed to be loaded on a rail car tomorrow and to be delivered to the dealer on the 30th!!! Hope it works out that way. Then to switch over the bumpers,, wheels and tires ect. and pick out a new lift. I better get busy figuring that out.

I was in the same boat. "D1, 08/11/2011" for quite a wile. on 8/23 it updated and now is on the rail car at KZ status so check yours and it probably is in the same batch as my JKU
