Check the Status of your Jeep JK Wrangler - Order Status Codes
Well I was excited to see my order moving slowly forward to BX last week after being in BG for over 5 months, and after hearing the news about increased production, I was hopeful that it would quickly move forward to D. But, alas the DC scheduling gods have seen fit to move my order BACK to BG. Sooo frustrating!
I call about once every 7 to 10 days...to no avail of course. I called today and the woman on the phone said she was going to contact my dealer and send them a file about my status! What the heck does that mean?????????? I ask her what information she could give me and she said I would need to contact my dealer for further info. All she said is I was still in BG.
So....do you guys think I am getting canceled???? I have three of the big no,no's these days...Freedom Top...My Gig....Rescue Green. I will let you know when I hear from my dealer.

I ordered a Sahara unlimited, red rock pearl coat, dual tops,, side air bags, 17" tires, auto, tow package, locking gas cap, thats it, on Nov 15th, and I am still waiting. I'm told I probably won't see it before the middle of March. What pisses me off the most is the complete lack of credible information from DCX as to why the delays. If I hadn't waited for so many years to finally buy a Jeep again I'd say forget it. Frustrated in Canada!
The dealer called and said he recieved the file from DC and said he has forwarded it to his district rep to review and see what kind of concrete answers he can get on expediting things. I told him if removing the My Gig would move it along then by all means get rid of the thing. We will see what they say.
Anyone know if it's faster placing an order with a "5 star" dealership? I ordered mine from a Jeep dealer that's only 4 blocks away, BUT they are not a "5 star" dealership... I'm wondering if I made a mistake. :-)

Don-A-Vee can certainly give you more specifics on the exact mechanism, but it seems to me to be that allocation is tied into previous sales. The more the dealer has sold in the past, the more allocation they get.
Which favors large, high volume dealers over all others. And in all likelihood a higher volume dealer is going to be a 5 star dealer, whereas a non 5 star dealer is less likely to be a high volume dealer.
That does not mean that a 5 star dealer may be your "best" choice in the end...a local dealer may ultimately give you a better price, and better service. You just may pay the price in a longer wait. Or not....it just all depends on what allocation the dealer has or will get in the immediate future.
I order my JK from a 5 star dealer in the middle of January. My salesan left me a message yesterday that I would be driving it by the end of the month. 5 weeks.
I also didn't order any of the things that are holding up production. MyGig, Hardtop, Rubicon.
i ordered nmy Sahara at the end of Jan 2007 from a 5 stars dealer. I called them today Feb 15th 2007, they told me I have to wait for another 4 months to get my car to Toronto, Canada. They don't even have a VIN number yet.

Divegirl and others.....IT IS WORTH THE WAIT!!!!! I just picked mine up 2/13/07. I have sat reading everything posted here and what ever else I could get my hands on during the wait. I thiink someone else posted on here somewhere that this and the other JK sites are kind of a focal point to voice gripes and concerns venting to those who will certainly understand us. I was actually a little concerned when I went to pick up My Rubi, wondering if I was in for a nightmare. I can honestly tell you NOT. I love this thing! It is my First Jeep. I feared being crammed into it, I am 6'4" 300lbs. I can say Roomy! I thought my size 13 feet were going to find it hard to operate the pedals. No worries at all. I let my Joy and Excitement fade away until it became a concern finally picking it up. Stupid Me! At this point I have no complaints! Rain and Snow storms and even a pressure wash no leaks. The toughest thing is the wait! I ordered Nov 1 '06 I too almost gave up but I am definately glad I didn't. Besides, any problem they are having now will hopefully be getting fixed before you take delivery on yours so you won't have the same problems as those that went before you!
