So, every once in a while I come across a post where someone is poking fun at jeeps with chrome on em ... why? what's so bad about chrome?

 

it looks too ghetto. more of a parking lot crawler vs. rock

I like chrome and I like aluminium. I don't think that having chrome on your Jeep is necessarily going to make it look ghetto, What looks ghetto to me is the huge rims whether they be chrome or black or whatever. Seems most Jeepers here like black. To me its boring and very unnoticeable. To each his own, don't let other people dictate what you like. Just like what you choose !

 

Not a chrome fan, kind of went out in the mid 70s but that's just me

 

No chrome hater here, just not what I prefer. I bought my son an '08 Colorado and put chrome 20's on it for him and it looks badazz!!! Im going to "Black Out" my Rubicon, but thats just for me. Don't let others dictate your decisions, you bought it, you drive it, do what ever makes YOU happy! If you are doing it to please others then you will never be happy!

 

Chrome can be alright. It's all in how you use it.

 

I gotta agree with most people on here -- chrome on a Jeep is a no-no - make that a "NO!!!!!!-NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"... there is a time and a place for everything -- save the chrome for the hood!

 

My Jeep when cleaned up gets a LOT of looks and positive comments. I think chrome in moderation is ok.
