Nothing bad about it. It just has no place on a jeep. For example chrome would belong on sports car or hotrod\muscle car. And there's always the "poser" who likes to think he/she looks good but has no intension of taking his/hers jeep off road and drives around pot holes with 8 hours of polishing on weekends. Jeeps should be used the way they were intended off road and having fun. I don't see any pickups with the inside of their beds all chromed up. Why... because it looks silly.me

As far as making our jeeps pretty, I admit that I matched my new wheels with the color of my jeep (black/silver...no, I am not a Raider fan), and got sturdy, powder coated wheels which, like said earlier, you can spray over in the event they do take a nick or two.
x2 - After a couple years of wear, nearly all chrome gets pitted and rusty, and looks like crap.

I don't think there needs to be any alternatives, or at least there shouldn't be another way of saying " gettin jiggy"

And if I find any I will make sure to quickly forget them.
Im at a stage in my life where I was once cool and now am losing some of it. So I make fun of anyone younger than I. Im still cool, in a more responsible fashion.

Don't worry tinkle and poopy NEVER go out of style. Them are classics.

[QUOTE=Conradfreedumb;473629]I wouldn't used the term "ghetto"
as I would, "It looks appears your wasting your Jeep on the the pavement. "

With grammar like that, we should respect your word choices?

Now THAT shit is ghetto.

I purchased my wheels and tires at nearly wholesale prices. I originally had black wheels with "shiny" center caps and rings. The day I placed my order, they were sold out and no ETA. So I went with the set of rims that I had picked out second; they only had them in chrome.

Now that I have them, I think they look excellent on my Jeep. I fully intend to wheel it no differently; regardless of what finish I chose. Another notable point: I did not get polished as they are higher maintenance to prevent them from staining.

Regardless if other hate them, I like 'em and that all that matters.

Talking I 'll say it once.......

.........and I'll say it again and again.

"Chrome won't get ya home"

might get you laid,.........but it will not help you out on the trail........
......AND if you need a signal for rescue you could use a mirror!
