No notice here. No signs of wear either.

I got a set of bushwacker flat panel flares last week and before installing, I called my local jeep dealer. Of course they didn't know anything about it. I told them I was taking my OE fenders off for this mod and would just look around and see if I saw anything that might suggest a clearance or rubbing issue.

I didn't, at least not on my rig. I mean, not even close really.

The bushwacker flares re-use the factory liners, so I might just keep an eye on things from time to time and have them cross my name off the list as "self install" or "already performed" because the last thing I want them to do is start taking my new flares off (to get to the liners).

Odd that we didnt get notice yet. No, wait a minute, not odd. The routine seeems to be: The press gets notice of recall due to possibly total failure of product and we get the news in the mail four monthes or so, later.

Jesus, when did we culturally buy into these huge companies making things? Er, probably during WWII.

Aint life great. heh.

I bought mine at Heritage and have had good experiences with them.

How about just removing the liner Ive found rocks to get stuck behind them. with low water crossings and mud pits your going to get crud on your motor anyways. Anyone have issues doing that?

Same here... I contacted my local dealer and they said that they had only heard about the recall from the media. The dealer said that Chrysler hadn't officially recalled them yet.

So it's been over a month since this thing was announced and still no one has gotten a recall notice? Eh, it's only brakes. It's not like they're important or anything.

I just got the same notice.

What I want to know is if they are so concerned about owner satisfaction then why don't they fix the problem instead of just flashing the 'puter to give an continuous chime when it's too late. I live in Arizona and during the summer everything is on the verge of over heating! That could get annoying in a hurry!
