Thats funny I have already got some emails and letters in the mail from chrysler about trading in my Jeep, not sure what I would trade my 2012 in for I guess a newer 2012

I work with car dealers. It's a marketing ploy. They want you to buy a new vehicle and will give you a little more money on your trade in.

Hmmm... I don't remember if it was Chrysler or the local dealership that called me. I assumed it was Chrysler because that's how they introduced themselves, not by my specific dealership.

I plan on hanging onto my ride... unless they can get me into a 2012 JKU Rubicon for the right price!

Of course I know they want my money. And my money can get me into a new JK.

But seriously... I'm just doing this for curiosity's sake. My 08 Sahara JKU has 80,000 miles and probably $7K in mods, so we'll see what they offer. You never know.

I just answered the phone and I had the same thing happen to me, I assume in my case it was because I was at a dealer on Memorial Day.

You know the economy is bad when car manufactures and dealers start acting like clingy bipolar ex girlfriends lol.

Actually in some cases it isn't just a sales pitch. I had a local Toyota dealership offer to by my 2 1/2 year old Tundra about two years ago so for the heck of it I stopped by and of course I looked around the lot and I almost drove away with a used 370z but decided against it. The next day the dealer called me back and said they would still buy the truck even without a new purchase so I made the deal and made out extremely well.
