Chrysler would like to know what future Gadgets you would like on your new JK, you get to define gadget .A CAB member will make a summery of this topic, and post it To the CAB board for discussion ,and then we will pass to the Chrysler Board for same. For those waiting for wrangler diesel info, well the Chrysler board is waiting for input from , Fiat on certerfacation cost ?NO TIME GIVEN !

For your Info . A topic summery was made from the top 3 jeep sites. And pass to the Chrysler Board. The info on the wrangler diesel came from that meeting.
You See Chrysler Does Listens, well sometimes.

Ok, I'll play.

How about ditch the gadgety thinking.

Offer the following...

HEMI with MDS

Real D44 tubes and outers

The auto should be a true 5 speed, not the 3 speed + OD.

Better torque converter.

The sport cage or what ever they call it should extend from the b-pillar to the windshield ... like the Rock Hard cage.

Adjustable rear seat in the Unlimited - It's too upright.

Longer seatbelts in the rear. They ratchet adults to the point that you have to unlatch and relatch all the time.

12 volt in the center console.

Simple RCA outputs on the stereo. Easy upgrade. I have this beef with every single OEM radio out there.

The Rubicon, like the Powerwagon, should come with a winch.

Bring back the 4.10 gearing in the Sahara and X or Sport......if we have to keep the 3.8, give us 4.88 gears from the factory on the Rubi.

Offer a locker for the Sahara.

Recessed dash top panel like the TJ, not like Daystar.

Interior of the hard top should be black, not white.

Fuel door cover should be standard.

Rubicon should come with tail light guards standard.

Dual door option.

Rubi wheels should not look like X wheels. Once they're dirty, you can't tell them appart. At least the Sahara wheels stand out.

Stock wheels should be 8" wide, not 7.5". Better for aftermarket tires that are 12.5" wide, but still work with all stock tires.

Power inverter would be nice. alway nice to have AC power for stuff
Hemi option. Why not!
dual door option. half doors are sweet but full doors for the winter months
power outlet in the cargo area. I keep a fridge in the back and had to add my own outlet

I second this.

As a matter of fact, my roomated and I were driving back from our trip to Ouray, CO today and as an FJ cruiser passed us on the highway I said "the only thing I'm jealous about the FJs is their dash set up that has a compass and incline meter"

I'd buy one in a heartbeat, but all the after market inlcinometers + compasses I can find look terrible.

I would like to see the sport cage painted to match the body. It seems like they thought we wouldn't take all that padding off so who cares if its painted. I care. I like quality craftsmanship.

Also I would like to see inside covered in bed liner. And 2 piece soft doors along with the full steel doors. I would rather keep my full doors for just the winter and use soft doors the rest of the year. That way I could keep them in the back in case it rains. I would like to see a locker in the front and rear, at least 32" all-terrains, swaybar disconnects standard and the evap canister relocated. Its supposed to be trail rated. And give us a warranty that allows us to use it on the trail. Covered by warranty should mean exactly that. Not "Well it was broke while off road. Therefore its not covered."

I would like the door map pockets deeper so maps, etc. won't fall out when the door opens.
Also, a mirror on the sun visor would be nice for us girls.
How about a dock for a cell phone, possibly a charger.
A way to keep the rear door open so it won't just close by itself.
A few more "Dee" rings on the floor/walls of the back deck to be used for tie downs.
For safety, I would like a mounted fire extinguisher somewhere, possibly on the roll cage.
How about a 3rd Freedom Top panel that would open over the rear seats.
If the front window no longer folds down, close the gap between the dash and the window so things don't disappear in the "black hole".
Grab handles on the front roll bars. I use them every time I get into the Jeep.
Padded head restraints would make for a more comfortable ride when bouncing around.
Radio speakers mounted somewhere other than the sound bar to make the back less claustrophobic for riders.

The "sport cage" to be stronger like they used to be way back when. Get rid of that useless c channel.

The windshield area above the rear view mirror between the visors should be tinted. (Kind of like the Ford trucks).

Move the exhaust and make the hidden compartment bigger.

Scratch resistant interior panels (come on it's been in production 3 years).

Side lights on the fenders should blink with the turn signals.

Mopar off road front bumper should be standard on Rubicon and have fog lights integrated into the bumper itself like the current plastic one does.

Eliminate the gap in the floor when the rear seat is folded in the Unlimited's.

Front seats on 2 door should fold up like the TJ so people can actually get in without killing themselves.

Rock lights.

Front springs that are 3/4 - 1 inch taller to make the Jeep sit level.

Less back spacing on the rims so the tires come flush with the fenders.

Spring loaded freedom panels and a passenger ejector seat.

Bigger gas tank option (especially for the hemi folks)

Move the exhaust pipe to not block the tranny drain plug.

12v and USB power in main console and in the rear compartment. Should be marine grade.

Line-x option for interior instead of carpet.

change the front seats in the 2 door to the old school style seats that lift up and forward.

The top of the line Nav radio should also have an interface to the computer for changing setting like tire size, TPMS, gears, etc
