Only problem when i give RubyDoo a good cleaning is that she shows all her WA. pin stripping.

WA. pin stripping = super tight trails

Considering I don't even have the JK paid for yet. I'm going to keep it looking as best as I can.

....oddly enough I do it with my firedept turnouts too. Everybody wonders why my helmet is so shiny and my turnouts smell like Apple scented dawn... I'm not a clean freak but I do prefer my stuff looking its best.

I don't mind getting her dirty but she deserves a little respect and gratitude for getting me out into the woods and safely back home again.

A wash says to my Jeep thanks for the good time

I want mine as clean as possible. I wheel it and then spend the next week detailing it back to new. If anything is damaged, I replace it. My 2002 TJ still looks new and it's been wheeled plenty.

Before

After

My 06 TJ had a disproportionate amount of miles on it when I traded it on the JK, I broke even on it with what I owed because the paint was impeccable as well as the interior. I keep it clean, although right this minute I'm out of 303, the interior is dusty, and it snowed pretty bad 6 days ago and the exterior is covered in salt which will be rectified in the next 2 days.

Mine is dirty most the time but I would not say I prefer it that I am just a little lazy.

In the winter, I don't really bother. When we get a couple of nice days, I will wash it. I have to use a touch free car wash, because I live in a condo... no spigot. So, I get the undercarriage cleaned up... that's the important part. In the winter, my Jeep is usually a mess. I don't vacuum the interior, because as soon as I get back in, there will be sand and salt everywhere.

In the spring, she gets a full washing and inside cleaning/vacuuming. I keep up with it during the warm months, and in the fall, she gets the full treatment again.

It's nice this weekend, so I think a trip to the local car wash may be in order!
