Default Clean Jeep

Does anyone else feel uncomfortable after washing their Jeep? Without the mud and dead bugs it just seems strange.

I get the feeling that when people see my jeep after it's been cleaned, they think I'm just another suv driver and might as well be in an h2. Then I remember I dont care. Let'em think what they want, I'm going wheeling!!

You can clean off the dirt, but not the dents and scratches.

Why bother? I've spent hours and sometimes days cleaning and detailing mine but then decide to go find mud the very next day. I can find many, many things a could spend that time doing. I give it a good cleaning and wax in the spring and fall. I'll spray it off after wheeling. (sometimes)

I take a different route.
I like all my possesions to look good, and that includes both my 94XJ as well as the 07 Jk unlimited. Nothing irks me more than to have to work on something that is covered with dirt, grease or sludge. I'd much rather take the time to clean my vehicles up including the undercarriage and engine bay, rather than have to crawl under the Jeep to do some work, have to wipe my hands six different and have all kind of sh^t falling into my eyes.

Hmm. . . I couldn't help notice that you said "if SHE doesn't wash it".... I haven't had that issue yet. 'She' hasn't ever washed her car..... I think I would probably pass out if she suddenly washed her car.

I wash the Jeep.
Probably spend half a day doing it.
Kinda anal about the way mine looks.
DW s car goes to the car wash down the street about twice a month. Whether it needs it or not.
