It took 2 hours but they bill it as .7 hours, it's all done now and I've got new shrouds in place to keep the dust out.

I asked and they said it's a 2hr job. I'll be waiting patiently in the lobby Thursday afternoon for 2 hours.
I can't see it taking 2hrs, I did mine in 30min can't believe it would take an extra 1.5hrs to install a dust shield.

It took 2hrs, sadly. They took their sweet time but it's done now.

I guess I'm going to have to do this myself. I have a 2011 and it's not covered under the recall..

My airbag light went off last year around this time, they didn't have my 2009 under recall yet. So I purchased a clockspring off amazon and installed it myself, appx 4 months later rec'd the news that they would be including the 09's on the recall and just submitted for reimbursement. When they get the parts for the airbag recall in stock I might see if they will put the dust shield in, but no sense in going in yet as the original CS lasted 6yrs before the dust killed it.

Default Recall

I received notice about my 2008 for the clock spring recall several months ago. At the time they said parts were not available but chatting with Chrysler online last week they told me they were. I'm scheduled to have the clock spring and gas tank over flow issue corrected. Passenger side air bag recall no parts yet.

Welp just received the letter in the mail. When I bought the jeep it already had something with the airbags fixed on it according to carfax due to recall. Smh at least it's free.

I fixed mine a year ago (just replaced clockspring, no shroud) rec'd the notice of recall in the spring but no parts available. Tired of waiting, submitted my parts for re-imbursement 2 days later get a notice of parts available, looks like I can still get reimbursed and get the full fix.

Still nothing on parts for the airbag, figure that won't happen for a while as there are a lot of cars as well as jeeps competing for those parts and manufacturing capacity.

I dropped my Jeep off at the dealership at 7:30 am for the clock spring recall and the gas fill overflow recall.
At 10:00 am they called me stating the clock spring was all set but that they would have to order the gas fill neck for replacement. Apparently they don't stock the gas fill tube because they don't change a lot of them and when the Jeep is schedule for that particular service they don't know if the problem is the tank or fill tube. Any way the Jeep is staying overnight to be finished hopefully tomorrow afternoon. Still no parts for the passenger air bag recall yet.
