Default Condensation on the inside of the hard top.

Riding around in the snow today we noticed that the inside of the hard top was wet. Actually enough that it dripped on me. This is our new '12. I never has this happen in our '08.

Anyone else experience this?whatsapp web 192.168.0.1 routerlogin

I do not live in a cold climate, but I can't recall seeing anything like this before.

Do you have "Recirculate" selected? If not, look at the blower and make sure it's not in "Recirculate" due to a malfunction.
Otherwise, try it with the AC on and the temp selector as warm as you need it. The AC will supply dryer air.

My deer stand sweats in cold enough weather when I have the heater going, so I can see how it could happen, just like a glass of ice water in the summer, cold on one side warm on the other and no insulation.

Would I be correct in assuming your heater is not directly vented to the outside?

Not vented, it's a propane seven grate Deerborn heater, a little much for a deer stand, but it keeps it warm.
the deerstand is 8 ft by 8 ft with 7 ft walls

The heater being the source of almost all of your condensation, my question is what is the source of the OP's condensation in his Jeep.

Could be two or more people, with the heater going, warm on the inside, extreme cold on the outside, doesn't normally get that cold here, or snow either, temp difference, just a guess.
but then again, you said your other Jeep didn't do it.
Does it still do it with the defrost on? Defrost cools the air first before heating it and gets some moisture out

i live in a cold climate...and have never ever gotten this.
2 people, heater blasting... nothin. guessing it isnt sealed well? perhaps lift the freedom panels and see if something isnt sitting quite right?

maybe others will chime in saying they have the same issue, but, personally, i do not.

Have carpet? Make sure it isn't sopping wet. No carpet, make sure water isn't standing under the mats.

Condensation comes from water and heat. Heat alone won't do it.
