Do it YOURSELF!!!

It is so easy its rediculous...remove bolts, drain fluid, spray gears with break parts cleaner, re-do gasket or use lube locker, replace cover/bolts and fill. Use 2 qt front and 1 qt rear Synthetic. Total cost=under $100. VERY easy. There is even a write up here

Hahaha, it takes about 30 minutes! That works out to $800/hr in labor! I'd like to see the people on this forum that always complain when dealership are called stealership defend this charge.

I had my front axle shafts replaced under warranty and my local dealership doesnt cover maintainable fluids under warranty work they charged me 60 bucks for the fluid they used... I laughed at the guy then he told me he was serious

I did this myself, it is super easy. Don't pay someone else for this. It is easier than a regular oil change.

That cost is insane...it's one of the easier maintenance things you can do. Even if you go with Royal Purple and buy things like a drain pan and long funnel you'd still spend less than $100 by DIY!

Wow. I had a front axle seal replaced under warranty. Seal, gear oil and RTV were all listed under warranty in the "Amount" column of the R/O. I asked if they replaced both seals, they told me no. I smiled and said see you when the other seal fails.
