In the Jeep Wave hierarchy, by cleaning out the Jeep, but I do like it when it's recently cleaned:

 

Black does look nice when clean. Too bad it doesn't stay clean for long and shows everything.

That's why I hate cleaning it. Always a new scratch.

 

Looking nice. I just swapped the top and doors on mine, and decided to go ahead and wipe it down. It was looking pretty dusty. One good thing: The dust obscured the vision of my hail-damaged hood. Oh well, right now waiting for the FedEx guy to deliver my son's new phone, then I think I'll take my pretty Jeep for a drive.

Washing ever so often ain't bad. But, one time, I put that shiney stuff on the tires; tire foam or something. Those damn tires were shiney and clean.....and looked stupid. I'll never shine up the tires again.

 

I shined my tires up once, I agree, probably won't do it again.

 

Not only that, but the foam or whatever it is gets into the fenders once you start rolling, and leaves ugly spots in them as well as the doors!!!

 

Scouring powder (Ajax, Comet) and a scrub brush can clean up the tires and leave just the "right" look.
