Of course it happened!
I've left my '09 JKU outside topless and doorless a handful of times this summer. No problem. I just woke up the sound of howling wind and pounding rain 15 minutes ago. It was 5:15 am. I leap into action, throw on a shirt, and race outside to put my Jeep back together. Like I said, blowing wind and pounding rain. As I'm running into my back yard to grab the first door I'm thinking to myself, "At least it's 5 am on a Sunday. I'm sure all my neighbors are sleeping and won't see me running around out here like an idiot". Well this is the one time this summer I rolled the windows down before I took them off so now I have to plug them in so I can operate the windows. The second I plug in that first door the lights start flashing and the horn starts blaring. Now I have to run into my house and find my keys so I can shut the thing up. With the horn silent I'm now able to go back outside to retrieve the rest of my doors one by one to attach to my Jeep and roll up the windows with a couple of neighbors looking out their windows at me. My Jeep is soaked and it stopped raining as I was carrying my last door to the Jeep. And now I can't sleep.
Yup, i was drinking heavily one night when my doors and top were off and it started to pour. I just sat on the porch and watched. It dries out much quicker than expected.
Also, i don't really mind if my carpet gets ruined since I want to rhino line eventually.

Yeah same thing happened to me about a month ago early in the morning. Once I had put everything back together it stops raining, then I kick myself in the ass cause an hour later I'm taking everything back off so it will dry. But not to worry its a jeep

That is too funny. The image I have of you is great: "Sitting in a rocking chair with a beer in your left hand, partially silhouetted by your porch light, as the night sky's overcast releases a barrage of rain, and the thought goes across your intoxicated mind, 'F*** it. It's a Jeep.' You then proceed to take a good sip of your beer and continue to watch."OP, I've had the top off my Jeep and then have it suddenly downpour. I wouldn't sweat it. As already stated, pull your drain plugs; the carpets will dry out; the Jeep electronics will be fine. After all, it's not like your Jeep was submerged in water; it just rained really hard.
