Of course it happened!
That is too funny. The image I have of you is great: "Sitting in a rocking chair with a beer in your left hand, partially silhouetted by your porch light, as the night sky's overcast releases a barrage of rain, and the thought goes across your intoxicated mind, 'F*** it. It's a Jeep.' You then proceed to take a good sip of your beer and continue to watch."OP, I've had the top off my Jeep and then have it suddenly downpour. I wouldn't sweat it. As already stated, pull your drain plugs; the carpets will dry out; the Jeep electronics will be fine. After all, it's not like your Jeep was submerged in water; it just rained really hard.
I've got a bit wet with doors and top off...but never a soaker like the OP.
Agreed, the seats dry up quick...its all the electrical stuff I worry about.
Hasn't happened to my 2013 yet since I just bought it, but happened a few times to my 08. I didn't sweat it, although wiping down the leather seats and pulling the drain plugs was a little tedious..
Another vote for yanking out the carpets and running with slush mats only. If it rains, just pop out the drain plugs and let the rest dry when the sun comes out again.
It's a Jeep.
PS: I actually DO rescue the child seat when it rains, but that's it. And, it might be different altogether if I had leather (which happens to be the reason I didn't get leather!)

Ha ha! Yeah, it was more embarrassing than anything else. I'd just been in bed a couple of hours. Had some drinking buddies over that night. Woke up my neighbours so they could watch me stumble around in the rain fumbling with doors!
I'm totally cool, right?
