Hahahaha! Thats awesome!

I just got myself at 14" crescent wrench, and then tightened the snot out of them. Then I tossed the crescent wrench in the back of the Jeep. It's kind of a PITA to get them open for actual use, but I don't see too many thieves wandering around with big *ss wrenches in their pockets.

Store them in the Jeep or tighten them up with tools. If you aren't, you risk having them vibrate off, especially on washboard roads. I suspect a lot of reportedly "stolen" ones were, in fact, lost due to such vibration.

Yep, I know that happened on my tj. The d ring itself was still through the winch hook hanging, and the pin was gone..

I lost two on Tower Arch Trail in Moab a few years back. They were there at the beginning of the trail (one front one back), and gone at the end. Washboard road vibrated both of them off. Left the other two at the opposite corners in place.

Those were yours?...I always seem to find stuff like that on trails. Perhaps some one wouldn't mind sending me the rings that go with the pins I found

Another trick is some wire through the hole on the flats of the pin, wrapped hand tight around the " D" so it's easy to undo for use but won't let the pin come out.
