I had the day off so a stop at HD and for $0.98 I bought some pipe insulation and I will not have to go thru this agan....here are some pics of my solution....

Well....... I LOVED this idea at first...and actually did it myself....cut the foam to the EXACT length of the dash's curv---and all was fine until recently: Now with colder mornings I'm fining the foam has SHRUNK about 5-6 inches on either end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come out after work when the temps are back up and its expanded...expanded in AND OUT of the*pocket*........
Definitely a cool/neat a cheap fix....but methinks I need to find something not soooooo temperature sensative
Thanks for all the reply's, the foam is 5/8 ID pipe insulation sold in 6' lengths at DH, I just cut it to length (giving an extra inch to play with) and just "rolled" in place, I'm not taking credit for this mod as I could have sworn I saw it here on another thread....
I just revived it...
the dealer would have charge me an arm and a leg....I have yet to find a dealer that is friendly and knowledgeable....
