Default Day 1 in JK and need tow strap help

Today was my full day with the JK. I love it! I love being so high off the grownd (I come from low sports cars).
Love all the bells my Sahara has and I have no complaints about it’s slowness. I think the power is fine for a huge elephant on wheels.

My wife already stole it for 2 hours today :cussing:

Anyhow, want to be ready to pull those lil cars out if need be What is a good tow strap to get and keep in the back of my jeep?

ARB makes some good straps. If you don't want to burn a hole in your pocket, then a pro comp strap will do the job just fine.

Default well...

are you planning on towing or recovering/snatching cars out of ditches and snow and what not. a tow strap is meant for just that. a recovery strap will stretch and allow for a transfer of energy from your vehicle to the vehicle you are recovering. I would suggest looking at videos on you tube to learn the proper way to recover. You may also want to look into just purchasing a recovery kit. It will come with a strap, gloves, shackles, and a snatch block.

Also, if you are on a budget, don't forget to check out your local tractor / farm & ranch stores. They often carry high load rating recovery straps.

Bought a budget snatch strap from one of the big vendors over the holidays after the first pull on a campy with no recovery points it was frayed. After pulling my dads f150 out it was trashed. If you want to pull other people out buy a cheap one for that purpose. If you want one for your jeep I bought a master pull snatch strap. My thought was I can fix anything that I break if I can get my jeep home and as far as straps go you get what you pay for.

Ps - glad you got your jeep. Going to jeep skool in April you in?

Make sure you get "loop ends" and not hooks.
