Dont count on just having a VIN to get you a Jeep
So, found out today, about a month after i moved to D1 and got my VIN that Jeep changed the order. I guess they ran out of Lockers and Electronic disconnects for 07's. I ended up cancelling my order just out of shear frustration. I'm not sure what happens with the jeep now but my dealership(aafes military car sales) is telling me that i may not get all my money back. I sure hope they try to keep even a penny of my Deposit. If thats the case i'm going postal, i did not change the order. If they cant deliver whats on my buyers agreement down to the last detail i dont pay.
Trust me I started out trying to buy through AAFES Military Car Sales and will never even walk into another AAFES Car lot again. They made me so many promises and then after two months, a 200 dollar deposit, and them running my credit twice I found out the order was never even placed. Although I was already pre approved for a 50,000 dollar loan through USAA and they knew about it. There answer was they were trying to get me a better interest rate. I finally went to Jeep-Warehouse at www.jeepwarehouse.com and bought me 2007 jeep Rubicon from Bill Shoemaker and couldn't be more satisfied.
Did the dealer tell you this or did it come from Jeep?
The dealer showed me the email they recieved. It said that the 2007 JK's had gone into build out and that they did not have the parts for the locker and quick discos, these parts would not be available until the 08 model went into productiokn. It also said that the 08 Sahara will not have these as options so my only choice would be an X or Rubicon if this is what i wanted. Is it too much to ask to get these options on a jeep with painted fenders?
What made me a little upset was the fact that they wont do anything to rectify the situation and act like i'm doing something wrong because i cant get a Jeep built the way i want.

I'm another USAA member, and I'll never go back to the "old way" of buying a vehicle. I love just walking into a dealer with a blank USAA check and saying that I'm just writing a check.
I've had a few dealers (two) say things like "they don't like dealing with USAA" or they "might not accept the check."
I walked the f&^K out of both places. I don't beg people to take my money.
Sorry to hear about the AAFES folks. That sucks.
