Door less + kids
The "rules" for doors off really should be the same with doors on. If kids are used to seat belts then it shouldn't be a problem. I suspect Chrysler knows that the doors don't really add any real protection, or they would have put warning stickers all over them.
OK just thought I would put this out there. The doors on your jeep are not collision rated . Therefore running door less isn't going to matter. The doors on a Jeep are only there to keep the elements out. If you have ever seen a side impact accident on a Jeep you would see for yourself they usually give way and one accident I worked it completely fell off. I will see if I can find that accident report and pull the pics from the file next time I'm on duty. But I will say get the doors if it makes you feel better or if you state requires it by law. God Bless and Stay Safe.

I do believe there's a warning (on the soft top header in my JK - probably a similar one somewhere on the hard top models) that states that the top and door on this vehicle are only to keep the elements out and should not be counted upon to protect you from impacts (or something to that effect). Regardless, every individual should make sure that all kids are properly seated and secured in their seats; it goes without saying that this needs to be emphasized when driving a vehicle with half doors, no doors or tube doors. That said, having doors on does offer a sense of relief when going around sharp corners or when kids fall asleep in their seats knowing that their limbs aren't hanging out the door while they doze off.
