Door Storage?
I'm just curious how you guys are storing your front/rear full doors when they are not on the Jeep? Believe me, I'd love to pick up a couple pairs of the scratch-n-dent free storage jackets and storage system from Bestop, but it's going to be a long, long time until I can dedicate the several hundred dollars needed to purchase those items. So, in the meantime, I'm trying to figure out an easy way of safely storing these things.
My thought was to get my hands on a few of those quilted moving blankets and wrap them in those. But I'm afraid to lay the doors flat because I think their own weight would end up denting them. So how do you do it? Lay em down plastic side down? Or lean them up against a wall, wrapped in blankets? That's probably what I'll do if someone doesn't have a better suggestion....

1. I pad the floor with an old folded towel, lean them against the wall, and cover them with a soft blanket to try and keep them safe.
2. Then I brick a wall 3 feet out, 7 feet high, and cover with a metal roof.
3. Don't believe # 2.

I have taken the doors off and placed the first one standing upright on heavy cardboard with outside to wall. I drape a U-Haul moving blanket over the top of the door and down both sides I then do the same with the other door, but face the interiors of the doors to each other and run a line around the set. Keep the kids bikes away from the doors!!!
A friend of mine made a 2 x 4 rack that goes through the window openings (rolled down) of his YJ doors and he actually hangs them about a foot off the ground with one door on each set (2) of brackets. Make sure they can handle the weight.

I plan on building a slotted box with the top and front open, lining it with carpet and putting castors under it to roll around on. One sheet of 1/2" plywood should about do the trick, with a 2x4 for the base frame. Roll it out, take off doors, slide them in, roll it away.
Being short of wall space in my garage (already used for other things), I currently lay blankets out on the garage floor and lean the doors against one of several workbenches. However, I was thinking a couple of these would be easy to make from wood:
