Can you get the power group on a model with half doors ? i.e. keyless entry and all that or only with full doors...?

 

Its only available on full doors.

 

The 1/2 doors do come with power locks, just no power windows of course.

 

OK so if the half doors come with powers locks then can you get the power group option with key-less entry if you order it that way?

 

You can't order the power group if you get the 1/2 doors. The 1/2 doors come with power locks, but I don't know if it's incorporated into a keyless entry system or not.

 

Worse case. You just get an aftermarket keyless entry and install the power locks. most alarm shops can do it effortlessly.

BTW, I hear that if you get the Sentry keyless entry and then want to add the Mopar remote start kit, it won't work unless you bypass the Sentry keyless entry. Moot point huh??

If you can't get the keyless entry on the half doors, just get an aftermarket with door locks.

I had done that to my TJ years ago. Worked really well.

 

I would advise people getting half doors to just leave their JK unlocked and save the money on power locks. Thieves will be more likely to cut your windows. I have had my YJ gone through a number of times and never got my top/windows cut. Just my thoughts. An alarm might be good though.

 

I had my doors unlocked and the idjits still sliced open the top at Taco Hell one day. They didn't even take anything, just went through it and that's it.

 

That sucks, it totally disproves my theory. Now I am going to have to get a sticker that says it is unlocked.

 

Its still a lose/lose situation. They probably cant read either.
