I agree with that. I lined mine, and I kept putting the plugs back in. But with top and doors off, and it raining so much, I gave up on putting them in and taking them out. So now they are around somewhere. The water goes away pretty quick.

Now I just have to find a dry place to keep my seat towel.

Put a towl in a small dry bag (or gallon ziplock bag) and shove it under your dirvers seat.

I also got hammered by the rain in PA Saturday night. Headed to a buddy's place in the early evening with the top down and doors off. Left the rear windows in the garage as well. I ran out to flip up the top as it started raining, but it didn't help much. A few hours later I drove the 20 miles home in a heavy driving rain and woke up Sunday morning with 2-3" of standing water in the tub and waterlogged carpet. Pulled the carpet and plugs for the first time and left the top off all day Sunday to air it out. All is well, but I'm definitely planning to lineX the tub ASAP.

Just if you're fording something deep, you may want to be able to put them in for your own comfort and the protection of some of the vehicle electronics--30 inches is pretty high up once inside the Jeep.

I would LOVE to line the tub.

I don't have that kind of $$$ though.

I surveyed the damage today... pulled the front carpets out and found the plugs, they came out easily.

IDK what's on tap for weather around here, so I'll just leave the rugs and plugs out for now. A shitload of water drained out when I pulled them... LOL

Thanks for your help everyone!

I can't believe that this went untouched for so long. Topless is a good thing Shellikins, as long as you post pics......

Has anyone ever had problems with the electronics like the cd player/radio after getting some rain with the top down?

Over this past weekend when I had about 2 inches of rain in the jeep the locks were going crazy. I would be driving and they would just be clicking. They wouldn't open or close but after an hour a so everything dried out and still works. I know a lot of ppl have had issues with the cruise control but I didn't have that problem.
