Default The dreaded clutch slave cylinder!!

Hello all, hows everybody doing? I had a really spongy pedal recently and I could not shift it into gear without pumping the clutch pedal. This happened twice to me but then after a day or so, the pedal magically went back to normal. It was weird so I decided to change the clutch slave cylinder thinking that it was a freak of nature... like they say"if it ain't broken, don't fix". To my surprise, when my mechanic took out the clutch slave cylinder, it was leaking and busted up. It was not leaking from a cracked boot on the cylinder itself but rather it was bent and a seal snapped inside for some reason. My advice, change it as soon as you feel it go spongy rather than wait and get the normal resistance to come back before its too late. Be safe out there!

I will add this to the memory bank. I am sure at some point I will be trying to remember where I read/learned about this.

Happy Jeeping!
