Default Employee Pricing +1250 +1000

Now that my rubicon is 30 days old, Jeep goes and offers employee pricing plus $1250, plus $1000.

Dammit, it seems I should've waited, if employee pricing is anything like GM (I work for GMAC) its probably 10-13% off. That is like another 3-4K I would have saved on an 2008.

30days difference I may have not been able to find mine optioned the way I wanted, but the deals on the 2009 models are just as good almost, the $1250 is only $500 but sh_it am I pissed now. 2009 supposedly has the revised hard-top too as well as 30 gigs!

FOR SALE 2008 RUBICON UNLIMITED
flame red
RER
dual top, deep tint
6 speed
1,100 miles
30 days old, I haven't even farted in it! Perfect condition
BEST OFFER

Just keep in mind anytime manufacturers offer huge incentives on new vehicles it impacts the value of the used market (downward) as well. You will probably take an ugly hit if you try to sell after a month of ownership.

the depreciation will be greater than the money saved on an 09......keep your 08 for life and love it like a child

Jeep Friends and Family, if I remember correctly from when I bought my Jeep, was $300 below invoice. I'm not sure, but my guess is that the EPP offers a similar discount.

F&F is about 1% below invoice. EPP usually ends up being about 5-6% below, plus they don't or can't charge you for things like documentation and such.

All these numbers are on the invoice if you can sneak a peak at it. I usually end up with a copy of it when I'm done with the deal since I've gotten my last few on with EPP.

yeah I was being funny, I don't think I could sell it and make out, despite the down payment and the fact the 2009's are cheaper, I would owe the buyer money.

I'm just bitter, I would have loved to save more money.

I did get the 2K year end incentive and did good on the dealer otherwise, but like I said I'd be way happier now with another 4K in my pocket towards upgrades.

I was thinking of trading my 07 in on a 09, with the great rebates and all, my payment would stay what it is now, and I would be in a new jeep....
BUT the stealerships around here are trying to pull some crazy shyt. Now they want a $300 admin fee they claim chrysler "makes" you pay, and of course the $100 dealer admin fee they say is a must. Ive never paid any fees on any of my other vehicles. Just another attempt to raise the price.
My other worry is about Chrysler itself, if they go under I have no doubt someone else will by up the jeep name and honor the factory warranties, but seriously doubt they would honor the lifetime warranties on any jeeps out there, since it wont be a product they built.

So im probably gonna wait to see what happens with chrysler and wont buy unless the rebates get out of this world great.

any other opinions out there on this?
