Lightbulb Yep

Unless it is real muddy or greasy I always use Dow Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner in a spray can. I got the tip from a classic car hotrodder and it works Great!

Spray everything, let stand 1 to 3 minutes and rinse off with a LIGHT pressure spray.

I have that in my bathroom right now....Never thought to use it on my engine though. Is there anything under the hood to look out for?

Default just

I would not spray the battery cause the water will not drain out from underneath it. other than that just do not blast anything with high pressure and if you have a CAI cover the filter with a couple wal-mart plastic bags so it does not get wet............ make shure the motor is cold first!!

I use Super Clean, it's in a purple jug at the auto parts store. That stuff will remove anything including the skin off your hand. It works great, just don't apply and forget about it, also removes paint.

i have heard stories of people hosing down hot motors and bad things happening... but if you think about it... you are trail riding and hit a puddle or cross some water and the engine gets cold water and a HOT motor... nothing happens.

Is this something one really needs to worry that much about on newer vehicle?? especially the wrangler class?

JEEPIZ, I didn't want to hijack this thread, so I sent you a PM on an unrelated topic. Just a couple questions about your 4" ProComp lift.

Thanks.
