WOW. Wonder what it does to the wire and cable insulation in addition to all the rubber inside including the motor mounts.

I've used the stuff for over 5 years and never had any problems. If you leave it there and don't rinse it off, then you would end up with problems.
Here's what they say you can use it on : Auto Parts / Engines / Tires / Underbodies / Carpets / Rubber Floormats / Vinyl Seats / Dashboards / Upholstery / Chrome / Stainless Steel / Barbeque Grills / Chainsaws / Concrete / Lawn Mowers / Plastic Furniture / Pool Areas / Tools / Garbage Containers / Patio Umbrellas / Canvas Awnings / Drain Opener / Floorwax Remover / Garbage Disposals / Ovens / Scuffmarks / Fireplaces / Shop Equipment / Stove Hoods & Exhaust Fans / Tools / Appliances / Plastic Blinds / Pre-Soak Pots and Pans / Tubs and Showers / Vinyl Wallpaper / Laundry Pre-Soak / Microwaves & Stove Tops / Porcelain / Sinks / Counter Tops / Stainless Steel / Synthetic Carpet / Vinyl & Tile Floors / Walls.

I just open the hood and rinse it with a hose, not going to close to the air filter. Bad or good?
